Researchers now agree that lifestyle determines how we feel and how long we live. Hereditary factors account for only about 10% of the outcome. This comes from the newspaper Arbetsliv (working life). Bertil Marklund, professor of social medicine and health at the University of Gothenburg, has compiled factors from research results that demonstrably lead to longer and healthier lives. These include coffee breaks at work and positive thinking, but also food and alcohol habits and smoking.
