On 11 July there was an explosion followed by a fire in the engine room on TT Lines’ Swedish-flagged ropax ship, Peter Pan, during the crossing from Trelleborg to Travemünde. According to information on the company’s website, the event was probably caused by mechanical damage to one of the ship’s five diesel generators. The crew managed to extinguish the fire and no one was hurt.
