Faulty reconstruction lead to overfilling

The relevant authorities were contacted and cleaning was initiated, but despite these measures approximately 600 litres of diesel oil ran out.

An investigation later showed that the diesel tank in question had been reconstructed a number of years ago. To obtain a larger capacity it was built together with an existing urea tank. However, the air venting system was not rebuilt and was therefore inadequate when refilling the tanks with diesel.
