At the end of the year a new device for measuring vibrations will be released on the market under the name of Smartvib. It is only the size of a matchbox, yet through a sensor it can measure all forms of vibrations, both those from handheld tools as well as full-body vibrations. The signals are then forwarded to an app on a mobile phone which displays the results. They can then be compared with the Work Environment Authority’s input values and limit values. Smartvib will cost around SEK 2,000. For more information please contact Peter Jonsson at CVK Vibration & Noise on: +46 (0)920-560 000 or peter.jonsson@cvk.se.
