The recently started research project Stress On Ships (SOS) aims to make officers and crew want to work longer at sea through better preparation. The ambition is to provide future sailors with a better understanding of work and life at sea at the training stage. In addition to Sweden (via Chalmers University of Technology), Italy, Turkey, Finland and Lithuania are also participating in the project. Sweden’s representative in SOS, Joakim Dahlman from the Department of Shipping and Marine Technology, is now looking for a shipping company or ship to cooperate in the project. Any interested parties are invited to contact Joakim directly at: joakim.dahlman(a)chalmers.se or 031-772 14 36.
