The jury’s motivation
The winner of this year’s SAN prize is described as an invaluable resource at the shipping company where she works. She is a great humanist who manages all the shipping company’s rehabilitation and training issues in an exemplary manner, with much warmth and sympathy.
She knows the regulations inside out and she is never afraid to question the rules and administrative practices. This is often needed when helping individuals who have problems handling all the bureaucracy they often face with long-term sick leave. She takes the time to listen to people who feel bad and calls for specialist assistance when it is needed. She is also good at giving clear information and speaking the truth, even though it is sometimes uncomfortable, but without being judgemental or giving lessons to others. She is a person with a big heart and genuine commitment, who does much more than her job actually requires.
