Open sexism is gradually changing into more subtle and hidden forms, according to Miriam Zehnter Frisk, a Doctor of Psychology who is doing research on minor sexist incidents at workplaces for the journal Arbetsliv (Working life). In some situations women are interrupted or not taken seriously, which can lead to stress among those involved and create environments where women are regarded as less competent than men.
